Crafted for Life – 001 Boko Yout

Crafted for Life is the core creed that permeates everything we do. It is a testament to our dedication to true craftsmanship, innovation and expertise. Klättermusen equipment is created for the real world out there and shall stand the test of time in every different scenario.

Crafted for Life is also our community. Our peers are what defines us. And this is where we invite likeminded people who share the same values as us, in dialogues where we can learn from each other. Those who go left when others go right, those who always strive to evolve and those who put in the time. No matter what the craft might be.

BOKO YOUT

Boko Yout is a Swedish artist redefining genre boundaries and shaping his own space in the cultural landscape. As Boko Yout, he becomes a musical artisan, blending gritty alternative textures, with layers of delicate personal storytelling that feel far from assembly-line creations.

I’ve always found it difficult to exist within an institution or any kind of structured system. I don’t know why that is. If someone tells me I have to do something, I instinctively resist. Even if it might be good for me. I think I’ve always strived for freedom and have lived with the need to be a certain kind of person in order to survive or to fit in.

Never one to stay in a single lane, Boko Yout’s craftsmanship is a journey that begins from a sonic starting point, passes through the intricate detailing of needlework, and ends in a stage performance with an unmatched visual expression. This journey—or “hike,” as he himself refers to it—is not simply moving from A to B, but a stroll through personas and identity, constantly refining and redefining how one can make the most of their craft.

“For me, it’s a lot about sustainability. I want what I create to leave my mark on the world and not go to waste. Of course, there are differences and similarities between the disciplines I work between. There is a lot of textile work, and there is music. They are also two different processes. I think the common ground is spontaneity and being in a flow when I create. Not judging anything too quickly and working almost on autopilot”.

As strange as it might seem at first, Boko Yout’s artistic philosophy is a perfect interpretation of Klättermusen’s view on craftsmanship—to always innovate, challenge, refine, and redefine. A like-minded mentality in parallel worlds.
