Highlight features

  • Regenerated wooden fiber

Lignum® is our collection of regenerated wooden fiber mixed fabrics, made in accordance with our requirements for sustainability and quality.

A regenerated fiber means that it is made from wood pulp that has been dissolved and then made into a fiber. It is cellulosic, like viscose, but we have chosen a production process with less environmental impact than traditional industry standard. This is called the Lyocell process. Tencel® is one of the brands that use this process. It requires less energy and water, no chlorine, and the waste products are minimal and considered harmless. For this very reason, Tencel® is one of our choices used for the Lignum®.

When the regenerated wooden fiber has reached the end of its life cycle, it can biodegrade since it is a cellulosic fiber. It is also naturally anti-bacterial and gives you a cool, soft touch to the skin. All in all, this makes Lignum® an excellent base for some of our intense activity styles.

In Lignum® we combine this wooden fiber with other materials to achieve the perfect blend for each particular purpose. For instance, we use Elastane if stretch is key, or Polyamide to strengthen the fiber.
