With the right equipment and clothing, you won't need any other shelter. Klättermusen offers a range of waterproof garments and equipment. Designed to be lightweight so that they can be brought along without adding too much extra weight, and technical so they can always be relied on, no matter what.

Our Waterproof Equipment

All waterproof equipment is made with our proprietary Cutan® waterproof and ventilating technology and has been thoroughly tested to withstand even the toughest rain and wind. When you invest in waterproof equipment from Klättermusen you get equipment that is fluorocarbon-free, has more than 20,000 mm watercolumn, taped seams and works seamlessly when wearing a backpack. Cutan®
For our waterproof garments, we use Cutan®. Cutan® is a proprietary Klättermusen waterproof and ventilating technology developed to improve on existing fabrics both in performance as well as sustainability by developing PTFE-free membranes to become fluorocarbon-free in production. Cutan® fabrics are soft, flexible and have great stretch.

Cutan® Super Stretch consists of three layers: an inside layer in polyamide, a waterproof polyurethane membrane in the middle and an outer fabric of polyamide and stretch fiber. The three fabric layers are laminated together into one single fabric.

Cutan® Stretch RP consists of three layers; an inside fabric in polyester, a waterproof polyester membrane in the middle and an outer fabric of 100% Recycled Polyester (RP). The three fabric layers are laminated together into one single fabric. Cutan® Stretch RP is 100% recyclable.

Retina®
For our waterproof backpacks and bags, we use Retina® with taped seams. This allows you to be out in the rain for a longer period of time without having to worry about your belongings getting wet.

Polyamide (Nylon) is a synthetic fiber creating extraordinarily strong and versatile fabrics. Levitend® are the fabrics based on polyamides that we use for apparel. Retina® fabrics are based on polyamides but geared toward use in backpacks which places different requirements on the fabric.

The polyamides we use are derived from both recycled, bio-feedstock and virgin sources.
