For riders who want real conditions and quiet terrain. You manage mixed snow, climb around a thousand metres a day and stay out for long stretches. There are no lifts or marked routes. You are confident off‑piste and used to moving under your own power. You want an Arctic week shaped by weather, not a preset plan.

What will your days look like?

You tour through fjords and mountain bowls with steady climbs and clear lines. Around a thousand metres of ascent and several hours outside most days. Two guides adjust the plan as conditions shift. When the group and snowpack allow, steeper routes are considered but never required.

Where will we stay?

You will stay in Nuvsvåg, a small Arctic village between mountains and open sea. The cabins are simple and comfortable, each with private rooms and bathrooms, hosted by people who know the area well. Set at seventy degrees north, the village offers quick access to quiet terrain and everything essential close by.

What are the conditions like?

Weather moves fast between coast and mountains, so routes change with it. Sub‑zero temperatures, shifting winds, clear breaks and sudden systems define the season. Locals call it eleven months of winter and one month of bad skiing. Snow runs from summit to sea. The result is simple. An ever changing playground. Fresh tracks. Welcome to the Arctic.

What protects your booking?

We hold a travel guarantee with the Swedish Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency. It ensures compensation if your package trip is affected by our insolvency or if any part we are responsible for cannot be delivered. Your booking is protected from confirmation.

Someone is always within reach

You can call or email us at any time. After booking, you are invited to join a WhatsApp group with your guides and fellow guests for practical updates and questions as the trip approaches. You will also have the option to book a one to one call if there is anything you prefer to discuss privately rather than over email or in the group.

Day 1: Arrival in Nuvsvåg

We will meet you up at Alta Airport and from there drive about two hours to Øksfjord. From Øksfjord, the ferry takes us across to our base for the week – Nuvsvåg. On arrival, we settle into the cabins and join together for a welcome dinner in the evening. A quiet and practical start before moving into Arctic terrain.

Day 2: Find Your Pace

The first day is used to establish a pace and get comfortable in the local conditions. Gentle tours, clear views and time to read the terrain.

Days 3–6: Take it Further

If the weather allows, we move deeper into the mountains. Quiet slopes, open bowls and ridgelines with sea views. Guides choose routes based on snow and conditions. Evenings return to the lodge for food and recovery.

Day 7: Finish strong

A final day on the mountain. We look for clean snow and a clear line to close the week. Evening at the lodge before departure.

Day 8: Departure day

We will transport you back to Alta and the airport in time for your flight.
